Governor held a working meeting on the development of the special economic zone «Center»
Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev held a working meeting on the development of a special economic zone of an industrial-production type «Center» on April 10.
The meeting was attended by Deputy governor Vitaly Shabalatov, head of the building policy department Oleg Grechishnikov, head of the industry and transport department Alexander Desytirikov, first deputy head of the economic development department Igor Kumitsky and heads of other executive authorities of the regional government, as well as the director of the Agency Danil Kustov and General Director of Voronezh Industrial Corporation Dmitry Andreev.
OFAS VOKK JSC as one of the Maslovsky industrial park residents was chosen as location for the meeting. The territory is adjacent to the special economic zone.
Oleg Grechishnikov informed about infrastructure facilities for the special economic zone “Center”. In particular he said that at the first stage the existing opportunities of the industrial park will be involved to accommodate the production in the SEZ. The «Maslovsky» is 80% filled with residents and provided with all the necessary engineering and transport infrastructure.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the work for special economic zone development and attraction of residents. Alexander Gusev said that special economic zones are beneficial to companies which are actively engaged in import or export. The head of the region expressed the hope that such enterprises will become larger in the territory of the region and the country as a whole, and the resident status of the «Center» zone will be the most attractive for them.
Alexander Gusev instructed to hold the necessary meetings with all potential residents by the end of April.
The total area of the SEZ “Center” is 220 hectares, including 174,6 hectares for residents, and 45,4 hectares for infrastructure facilities. The territory of the SEZ can accommodate up to 15-20 enterprises. The planned volume of investments by 2028 will be 29.8 billion rubles, the amount of tax payments is 11.6 billion rubles, the number created workplaces is 4181.
it is suggested that branch network of the special economic zone «Center» will be developed in other municipal districts of the Voronezh region in 2020-2027. According to preliminary calculations, this should attract 200 billion rubles of investments, provide 108 billion rubles of tax revenues and create workplaces for 25 thousand people.
