The delegation of the Voronezh region is on an official visit to Japan
On February 3, the delegation of the Voronezh region arrived on an official visit to the city of Tokyo. It includes the Vice-Governor – First Deputy Chairman of the government of the Voronezh region Vitaly Shabalatov, Head of the Department of industry and transport of Voronezh region Alexander Desyatirikov, the Head of the Voronezh city, Vadim Kstenin and Director of the "Agency for investments and strategic projects" Danil Kustov.
As part of the business mission, a number of meetings and negotiations were organized with representatives of Japanese companies: Fukurawa Electrik Cj. Ltd, Kawasaki Heavy Industry, Marubeni, JSC "Research Institute "NOMURA", as well as with the trade Representative of Russia in Japan Sergey Egorov.
During the negotiations, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation between the Russia and Japan related to the construction of the "Light metro" in Voronezh, as well as the implementation of investment projects in the territory of the special economic zone of industrial and production type "Center"created in the Voronezh region.
One of the key events of the day was the presentation of the Voronezh region, which was proposed by Vitaly Shabalatov. In his report, he spoke about the economic and investment potential of the region, highlighting in detail the measures of state support in investment activities, as well as the established industrial parks and development zones and extensive experience in implementing large-scale investment projects, including joint projects with Japan.
At the end of his speech, Vitaly Shabalatov outlined the main directions of promising bilateral cooperation between the Voronezh region and Japan, including engineering, electronic industry, agriculture, chemical industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, medicine and health care, gas processing.
