Voronezh Region and Fund for Development of monotowns will finance the implementation of the pork production project
October 6, Governor Alexey Gordeev met with the General director of nonprofit organization «Fund for Development of monotowns» Ilya Krivogov in the government of the Voronezh region.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor - First Deputy Minister of the Voronezh Region Andrey Revkov, Head of Department for Economic Development Anatoly Bukreev, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of «Agroeco» Group of Companies Vladimir Maslov.
During the meeting were discussed prospects for cooperation between «Fund for Development of monotowns» and the government of the Voronezh region, particulary in co-financing of the AGROECO’s company project implementation in Pavlovsk monocity.
Ilya Krivogov noted that « Fund for Development of monotownes» has an interest in implementing significant projects in each of the single-industry towns of our region, however, main efforts are focused on Pavlovsk development.
«Agroeco - South» LLC is implementing an investment project for the construction of a meat processing enterprise that will process 1,2 million heads per year on the territory of the Pavlovsk municipal district. The cost of infrastructure will be more than 1 billion rubles. Ilya Krivogov noted that the Fund will be able to co-finance 95% of the total facilities cost, and 5% will be allocated from regional budget funds, within the framework of a general agreement on cooperation in the development of mono-profile municipal entities of the Russian Federation (single-industry towns), which is signed with the region.
Alexey Gordeev confirmed the interest of the Voronezh region to implement the project at the earliest. This investment project will complete the creation of the third agro-industrial cluster - the production of pork - along with the dairy and meat (beef). The Governor promised to provide maximum assistance in the implementation of project.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed possibility of preparing an application for co-financing in december this year. It will allow solving financial problem by the end of 2017 and beginning construction of a meat processing plant in 2018.
The task of developing Russian monotowns was set by President Vladimir Putin in 2014. For these purposes was created a non-profit organization « Fund for Development of monotowns », which strategic objectives are to finance promising projects within the framework of the priority program on «Integrated development of single-industry towns», as well as the training of teams that manage projects for the development of human settlements. The training is conducted on the basis of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Skolkovo School.
Voronezh regional teams of monotowns Pavlovsk and Rossosh successfully defended their projects in front of the expert committee members of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration . As a result, the monotown team of Pavlovsk became the winner in the nomination «The Best Development Project», and the team of monoещцт Rossosh - «The Best Social Project».
